What to do??? my BD is coming up in august!

I feel so slow it pisses me of and makes me wish i had a 400! my bros Z440 blows me away and my other bros crf 150 blows me away and my other brothers cr80 blows my 250ex away! What can i do to make my quad faster than possibly the cr 80 or a least the cfr 150??? I'm thinkin about gettting a big bore but i was wondering can you just bore something out with no other modifications other than the big bore? Or if u no the fastest and easiest way to make my quad faster than one of the the two bikes i can ask my parents to just buy me the big bore.


By the way i'm light enough that my 250ex topped out is only 10 -15 feet behind my friend in front of me on his stock 400ex topped out. No lie!

a friend of mine had a 250ex, and I'm not going to lie at all here he would beat 400ex's and such on a track, hes a really good rider, he has a 400ex now and its pretty much stock and he beats all the 450s! I'd just get some nerfs, wheels and tires and kick some *** :macho

I just got my 250ex during spring break brand new i'm not getting another quad now.

usually the used 250ex's had the **** beat out of them and then when the people are ready to sell them they put brand new tires and and platics on them and say they took good care of it. Usually since a 250ex is easier to handle they tend to get beaten harder. plus i had a used dirtbike for six months and two of those months it sat in the shop because it was a POS and I didn't want to take a chance of fixing my quad all the time and throw fits cause i can't ride.

Its not really worth putting a ton of money into the 250ex. There are not a whole lot of things you can do for it anyways. Don't worry about beating them in a drag race, take them to a track and learn to beat them there. Then you will show them how cool you are, because you can beat them on a smaller machine. Then you can get a bigger bike when you have gotten the best you could on the 250ex. I got as good as i could on the 250 until i didnt really feel safe on it anymore, but i could keep up with some 450's. Then I moved up, so i could continue getting better. If i were you would i concentrate on beating the 150, not the 80.

And for the used 250ex's, there are also a lot of people that dont know how to ride that buy them, and all they do is putt around on them. You just have to know what you are doing when looking for one. I had to be really careful buying the quad i just bought. Its really hard to find a completely motocross ready 400ex that hasnt had the crap beat out of it.

if i remember correctally you JUST got the 250. And before you ever got that thing we (James n' me) said you will get tired of it and want a bigger one. Or want to go faster. if the 250 isnt enough for you. Then start working and saving up your money. Then yours will look like mine ;) . Oh and by the way my 250 is good enough for me, I think you better ride it some more stock to get ust to it. Then add some mods slowly to it. JMO

well, your not really going to be able to make a 250 really fast. you definately are not going to beat the cr80 especially if hes a good rider. i guess just do the normal pipe/jet/filter combo

man, everytime i see a pic of a 250ex, it makes me just want to take it out and ride the mofo, they look like alot of fun to ride, ive ridden fasrt sport quads growing up all of my life, 250r banshees then it was the 400s then the 450s, however in my town not really anyone is interested in racing, so on the days i have off when my buddies want me to go ride with them, ill leave my quad at home and ride one of their spares, really makes me realize how lucky some people are to even be riding. the value of riding is enough, someday youll be old enough to afford all of the goodies you want, until then id enjoy what you have because youll always look back to that ol 250ex. just go out and have fun with it.

and a guy i know has a 240 blaster and it wastes 250r's and 400 ex and alot of piped banshees
