Shawn gets a good jump on the group and is first to his Quad.

He had to kick it twice because Bob from Bartlett racing is behind the quad trying to give him directions as if he didnt know how to start it and Shawn yells

The youth team on a Modded 300ex.1 of the kids came from Kentucky I believe and never rode the quad before. Bartlettracing and Team thunder helped these kids several times thru out the day. 1 kid crashed hard and got a concussion so the other 2 had to finish and they showed alot of poise.

Good job boys!

No!
3 laps to go and Bartlett racing breaks a chain! They are a few hundered yards from the check point and they decided it was best to push it thru so the lap counts. They were 3 laps up on 2nd palce and 6 on 3rd.

Can they get a chain made to fit and still win? Shawn runs an extended swinger so they had to cut and add 2 master links to make it work for the last 3 laps instead of throwing on another chain>

BTW:it was a Titanium Sidewinder chain that snapped across the link Pos:mad:

Great job Jen on coverage An great job Shawn . It was a blast even with poor turn out huh? Mo. an Ga. both had poor turnouts but was a blast.More people need to get out to support these 6 hour races our they`ll disappear :( So far I bet John Pellan lost his azzz which sucks for the effort he`s but into them . Hope they come back next year it is a blast an a challenge to do :D

Yea it was still a TON OF FUN.

I overheard that there needs to be at least 24 teams to break even. John says he'll do it again he knows it takes time to develop.

He was thinking of adding a 2 machine per team class or something so people dont have to worry about ruining 1 quad. I think thats a big reason why the turn out is small.

I think that adding the second machine would really help with the turnouts especially when they are running back to back with other series. No one wants to tear up their quad and lose a chance of staying in points for whatever series they are racing in. Like PA is mostly GNCC people and they are getting ready to hit their 2 month season break so they will have plenty of time to get their quads back together before their season starts back up. Not like WI which was the day before the Iowa and the same day as a GNCC in WV.
