View Full Version : Pressure building up in the tranny.

When I check my tranny oil I noticed that its under pressure, I dont think it supossed to be is it? I have let the bike set 2 days and it is still holding pressure.

Vent hose, if i had to guess you (or someone) put it on the side of the carb (dead end nipple) and not back in the hole on the black plastic thats under the tank.

Are you talking about the vent hose that comes off the pcv T.

mine has had pressure on the tranny side since it was new.

nothing has blown yet...just remember to loosen the fill cap before you pull the drain or youll have a mess.

i had my breather tube on the carb as well and lots of pressure build up but no damage. and yes u should fix it. tube goes to plastic tray under seat

i did the same thing to my bike. that blank nipple on the carb had nothing on it. then i seen the hose that looked like it had no home. i stuck it on there and was like "good thing i fix that". went to check oil the next day and shot the little bolt across the shop. i thought i was the only one dumb anuff to do that.
