Yeah but DO NOT OVER FILL, i just got my 450r last tuesday they said they have had people fill it over the line and toast the engine some how. too much OIL can be a BAD thing

Just watch the glass when you fill it and on the tranny side you just take out the small 10mm bolt and fill it until it comes out of the bolt hole. They don't even take a quart.

is the reason you have to change your oil so much on these quads is because there is so very little oil volume and it breaks down faster? or what? i am switching to Amsoil sythetic soon and i ordered a case which is about 12 quarts, so i should have enough for about 12-15 races correct?

they don't hold a little!! they keep trans / clutch and engine oil seperate. if you add the two together you hold about 1.5+ qts. other bikes need more frequent change, due to the clutch fibers being mixed in with engine oil "contaminating it". the honda can go much longer. some people just like to change every other ride to be safe. i check before i ride, but only change every 2 months or so
