Remember folks wheelies maybe fun and seem potentially harmless, But be warned they can be hazardous to your health so please ware a helmet

Thank You

4. Feel free to attach ATV related pictures to you posts. Pictures of riders without helmets will be deleted - riding without a helmet is very dangerous and is an activity strongly comdemned by ATVriders.

I carry all kinds of stuff in there when I go out. Water, a tow strap, a flashlight (we get out there at 4am usually) and... the backpack was how I got my camera out there in the first place. ;)

You guys make me sick! I can barely get the front end of my 400ex to stay up longer than half a second(personal problem?):p I know these are supposed to be wheelie machines but I think I need a 14T sprocket and some more practice. You guys make it look too easy!

06-19-2005, 09:35 AM
hey man its not to hard at all it is all about balance once your up you can ride um far i have a 250ex its so easy i can ride wheelies threw all 5 gears my buddy has that silver 400ex hes real good on trick wheelies as you can see just go out and practice

kick
06-19-2005, 09:44 AM
Yep man it's all about balance. If you try to use just power alone you'll eventually run out of steam (granted, you have more power than I do) but if you practice enough and start using your body weight also, you'll be doing 100 yard wheelies. If I can do it, anyone can.

Just last month I was getting these little puny 1/2 second wheelies, then out of the blue one day I found the balance and I was doing a 10 yard wheelie. Then I got excited and did another one. Then before you know it, that's all I was doing, pulling the fronts every second until I was doing a 25 yard, a 50 yard, etc. :D :D It's addicting. Then I graduated from 2nd gear and started pulling them in 3rd, and 4th... Then 5th. Doing 100 yarders.

I deffinetly need to practice more. I am trying to not just use the power alone. I have only had the quad for 2 weeks and need to find a better straight area for trying wheelies. My buddy has a KFX700 and you just give it a little gas and you can wheelie forever.

All about the Balance point my friend....You said it though, all you really need is more practice. You'll get it in no time.
