Anyone use a GPS while riding trails? Im headed to Arkansas to ride in less than 2 weeks, and we will be in unfamiliar woods. Any advice on how well these things work, how durable they are, and can I get a reliable unit for less than $150 dollars?

I bought a Garmin for my dad for xmas and it has held up well. It takes a while to figure it out, but now he's got maps to all his favorite fishing spots plotted.
It was a display model at a local outdoor store, retailed for $300, but I only paid $120. Seems pretty sturdy (it's been dropped a few times) and I believe it's still on the original batteries. I looked at some Magellan's but they seemed kinda "cartoonish" to me, like a kids toy more than an navigational instrument, but I have no actual experience with them. Your milage may vary.
