Putgting a New chain On

I just got a new lonestar +1 swing arm and a new 520-120link chain. How many links will i need to use. I bought one about 3 weeks ago and ended up cutting it to short and had to add two master links and i dont want to have to do that this time. what is the proper way of putting a chain on?

Count what you have now.. add the added link quantity.. and add an extra 2.

Put on see if you can tighten it up. Iff still too loose.. remove 1 link and retry.

Start big.. and work your way down. ;)
