not to sure about the rms....or peak..they are very rare to find some w4's and even harder to find them in this perfect shape..

200 watts RMS

and 1.25 sealed , and 2.5 ported.... blah.blah..blah..blah.....


if you would come down on the price quite a bit i'd be interested.... w3v2 subs which are alot better are 200 brand new with a warranty.... ***not post dumping just informing since nobody knows the specs on these..

w3s arent better then these they are more on the lines as the same...and 200 for a w3 is outragous...they are a 140 dollar sub...and i said 225 but i can work with ya...but im not gonna ship them in the JL box which is what makes it worth 225..u find a JL Audio Bandpass box and price it...

the w3's were rated over 200 watts and w3v2's are even better than the originals rated at like 300 watts.. much better than w4's.. not saying that power ratings are the end all of speaker selection.... but the w4's aren't as good as the w3V2's atleast not imo... but ya.. i don't want the box just the subs... how much to buy?? email me some pics

hmm...well thanks cheeseburger dunno if ur tryin to help or just crush my thread...but anyways...the model of the sub, watts, all that doesnt matter..if u give these subs 200rms...they are gonna sound good...everyone thinks they need w7 (overrated) and they dont...ive heard these...on a planet audio 850.1 amp..and they sounded good..and werent cracking or peaking yet..if anyone knows anything bout jl...for one..they dont make LOW END stuff...for two...u can make 2 w3's just as loud as w6's so the number after the W doesnt matter..

You are just going by the website. Ive been listening to JL's for awhile now, I have the W3V1's right before the v2's came out, I blew the W3v1 and when the reconed them they used the w3v2 cone. Also talking to the local stereo shop that has had Jl's from the beginning and they say the W3v1 are just as good.

As far as the W4's they are good for taking up a little less space and sound damn close to a W3.... $225 shipped in a box isnt bad.

I had 4 W3v1 in my truck and they out hit a 2000 tahoe with 2 W6's in it. W6's werent any cleaner but did look cool and took up less space. And like you said JL does not make low end subs. They could have got alot more bass, etc... out of their subs but instead they go more for sound... Until the W6V2's and W7's came out they couldnt get a long excursion woofer to sound like they wanted.

well i know i hooked them up..and granted they werent SPL record breaking..but the sound quality is unmatched...JL has some of the best...Sound Quality and Bass on the market...its hard very hard to find a sub with both bass and sq...and i myself think these jls are worth 225 in the box...plus they are very rare and in excellent shape...

jl makes top notch subs... i have 2 15 w3's in my gf's suv and i personally just got rid of my setup of 3 12 w6v1's about 5 months ago..... but jl makes lower end and higher end subs... a w0 will not sound as good as a w7 for example... i would compare theese almost to the old w3's... the w4's were made for lower wattage smaller systems.... i wouldn't run more than 500 watts to the pair of w4's... just plain doesn't need it .. like all jl's they sound great and hit good... wasn't trying to squash your thread..

wow.. look at my post up there bro.. i dont even own w7's but i definately like them... i own the same subs in the loudest setup you've ever heard... 15 w3's... the w7's have a really flat bl (bet you donn't even know what that is..).. which makes them prone to LOW distortion.. you can put loads of wattage on them SAFELY.. as long as you know what you're doing.. i took my gf's durango to a db drag and my buddies tahoe with 1 13 w7 pulled 151.8 with his daily driver system.. 2 1000/1's ...

my gf's suv with my 15 w3's will a planet audio 1250.d only got 143..... both are ported boxes tuned to 35hz....
