Head Cover Alignment Pins

I rebuilt my topend and the manual says it is recomended to replace the dowel pins(allignment pins). they are like the little sleeves that allign the head bu sliding into other holes. wow that sounds confusing. but does anybody know if i have to replace them

WE never replace them!

i never replace them unless they get out of round. of all the engines i have rebuilt i think i replaced three pins. i used to build CR250R race motors, and reused the pins every time and these engines come apart after every main event.
