For Sale: 400EX 4.3 Gallon IMS Gas Tank

I have a very slightly used Clear (natural) colored IMS 4.3 Gallon Gas Tank for any year Honda 400EX. The tank was on my quad for one dune ride. The tank has no scuffs or scratches in the part that is visible. There are slight scuffs in the part covered by the stock fenders...but not much. There are no dirt stains on the tank either.

I'm looking to get $120 plus shipping (which I'm guessing will be around $10-$15.

can u c the gas threw the tank? and why are you selling it? do you need the stock petcock or does it have one?

You can see the how much gas you have in the tank with this color of plastic. It is pretty much bright white right now. It is nice to be able to know how much gas you've got left without having to take off the gas cap and look inside.

You do have to use the stock petcock, as well as the 2 stock rubber side straps, the little black knob that your seat latches into, and the rubber grommets/metal sleeves/bolts where the stock tank bolts up by the steering stem. The install is very easy.

I'm selling it because I decided for dune riding (which is what I mainly do) that I should be shaving weight off the quad as opposed to adding the weight of more gas. I've also decided to get Fullbore Plastic and this tank will not work with their plastic.

There is nothing wrong with the tank...I just decided I didn't really need it, and that I could use the money I get for it to buy the things i want.

will it work with maiers or lakers? or will it just work on the stock fenders?

It will work with Maier...I'm sure about that since you can use Maier plastics as stock replacements. Not sure about Laker...don't know much about it...you'd have to ask them about that.

The tank is compatable with the Laker Plastics, I have the same one on my quad.;)
