Can I get some setup tips for my TRX450R
We have replaced the suspension a-arms, eng fitted white carbon exhaust prodesign cleaner
Can anyone suggest any other handy hints for a little extra power, eg carb settings/mods stuff like that
Also jet main and pilot starting point replacement
Later on I will look at piston and cam and porting
thanks in advance

what are you acheiving by cutting the snorkle and drilling out the crank case breather?

you are building what you "pay" for in an hrc kit. I bought the kit, and have built it for all my friends. if you think about it i got screwed and my friends and everybody i help on line saves $140.

as far as why cut and drill!! air flow through the engine and venting the case so it doesn't build up to much preasure with the extra power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks mstrav1 for the tips
looking ahead for more power would my next step be 11.1 piston
suitable cam Web or simular, porting as per project quad on these forums, vortex ign
Also at this stage how does carby hold up do you think, Is it worth getting another one...what i mean, is the increase out of them worth the cost...if so what do you or anyone suggest
thanks
Also whats a good sproket ratio/sizes for MX

depending on your budget, i would decide the finished product you want and do it step by step in kind of an order as follows:

next for you;

-cam (hrc, hotcams stage-2, or equal)($145)

then if you need more power:

-12.0 -1 (piston so you gain some power, but still can use 91) ($175 max with any gaskets)

still want more:

-head work ($225 - $375)

still need more:

carb (there are a few but the fcr is prob. the best)

if you need more than this you need to oversize your valves and put in a big bore kit with 13.5-1 comp, running 110 octane

still want more:

nitrus (boondockers $675)

need more still:

buy a wrecked streetbike and put that motor in your bike!!!!!!!!
