Tap start button and nothing? Please HELP!!!

My 400ex wont start when you push the start button. It did it to me last weekend. I stopped and went to start the bike and when I hit the start button nothing happened. No click sound, nothing. So I decided to bump start it, that worked! And for the rest of that day the start button worked. Now fast-forward a week. I go to start it and nothing again. I tried switching the key switch from my dad bike (which i know works) but that didnt help either. What do you guys think it is? Thanks for the help!

check your fuse

check if you have a loose cable on the batterie

check your battery charge level

check your solenoide,by-pass it

check your connection and switch (neutral,clutch switch ... )

yeah what he said... it is definately one of those things. Also check ur ground...i had 2 seperate grounds on my ex just in case. If ur sub frame is PC'ed that will definately affect the ground as well. goodluck

Mine did the same thing. Turned out it was the ground wire next to the battery. Because it didn't have a good connection but if I'd move around a little it'd connect and start up.

Check that.
