I bought an Elka shock. I want to get rid of the shock to my Bro. It came with a long travel linkage. Does Elka set the shock up to work with the linkage? Or will the shock work fine with out the linkage because I wanna keep the linkage

The link is designed to work only with the Elka shock. At least that's what my dealer guide tells me. Hope I helped a little. Ride safe, Ed.:)

I called Elka. They said the Elka would work with or without the link. If you buy a YFZ450 Elka and later buy the LT link then you have to get the shock resprung However you dont have to do that with the 450R.

If it is for the 400ex, then it will work best with te Elka shock. The shock will work with the stock linkage, but not the same. It is a great set-up. Most of us regular Joes will notbe able to tell the difference. Sell it.

The set up is for a 450R.
