calling all 416 owners

i would like to know what jetting you have, and what pipe you have. i want to get the jetting pretty close for when i am breaking in the motor. thanks for your help.

your going to get a ton of different responses,,, stock carb, FCR 39mm FCR40mm FCR41mm ect,,,, they are all going to vary. just find a good base point where it starts and idles and go from there

I have a stg 2 hotcam, wiseco 11:1 87 mm, a sparks x-6, and a K&N, and I am running a 185 main, and it still seems lean.

wow, your at 185.... im running FCR40mm JE 10.8:1 thermal coaed piston, hotcam stage 2, cometic XR gaskets, Titanium Springs and Retainers, Kibblewhite black diamonds, K&N, WB exhaust no air box lid and outerware and im at 160 on the main, needle is on middle clip and pilot is 48

I thought it was high, but its seems everyone in this area is around that. I went from a 160 on a stock motor with just a slip on to the 185 when the 416 went in with the full exhaust.

I should prob check for intake leaks though.

i dunno, im pretty sure i am not lean, im not popping or cutting out at all, but i think i can get more performance out of it.

what color is your plug?

it depends on your altitude and check the color of your plug.
I'm running 160 main, 42 pilot with choke removed from stock carb. k&n filter, lid off and the rest in my sig. I live in Ky.

im runnin 180 main,42 pilot to start off with,im in the minst of breaking in my notor too........stage 2 cam,KW valves port n polish,3 angle valve job,sparks x-6 full

K&N, Stage 1 HotCam, ground headpipe, e-series slip-on, 11:1 Wiseco, vented airbox. I'm running a 160 DynoJet main, 42 pilot, and the DJ needle on the second groove from the top.

thanks, thats almost exactly like mine. is yours ported and polished? and what does the vented air box mena, holes, or no lid at all?

I am running a 416 w/ porting , uni filter .. slip on and no lid .. and I'm still on the same jetting I had with just the pipe and the air box lid removed .. my plug is perfectly brown.
