300ex top end /250x bottem end?

hey everybody just wondering my best bet. i have a 91 250x bottom end and a full 02 300ex motor,my question is that i want to use the 250x bottem end via kickstart,because i dont want to rig a battery box on my 250x frame and i only have the wiring harness for the 250, will i run into a problem with the rod / piston length and valve clearence? any help would be greatly appreciated!

my question was about using the top end from the 300ex piston and everything(brand new)will i have problems?

nope, you will not have any problems ;)

so i can use the piston from the 300 and put it on the 250 rod and theres no issues w clearence or any thing?

im not 100 percent on that but the cam chains are the same so they will work.

Yea it will work, but if I were you I'd put the crank from the 300ex. Because you will only have a 250 if you don't put the 300 crank in. I would like to do that myself, because I hate electrical and electric start and all that junk.

you will need a 250x rod, and a big bore 250x pston to match the 300ex bore (the 300ex piston pin is in the wrong spot for a 250x)
you could just swap everything out, but then you will loose compression becasue the 250x crank will make the piston sit farther down in the cyl. than the 300ex crank

so whats my best bet, should i buy a piston or split the bottom end and swap cranks?help!!!!!

if i were you i'd keep the 250x bottom and just get a different rod.
