Allright, i've searched on this, but can't come up with anything. I'm a bigger guy, around 220 or so, and about 6'2", and my front shocks aren't cutting anything. I'm 16, and paying off my truck, so i'm very low on cash, so i'm not getting aftermarket shocks any time soon. So, could i put stock front 400ex shocks w/ a relocator bracket on the stock 300ex a-arms? I've seen +2's with works and elka 400ex custom shocks, but not this... Anyone know? Thanks!

yes you can use the 400 shocks w relocator mount, i did the same thing w mine until i got plus 3 plus1 250r lonestars and some works, everybody talks about bump steer but my quad handles great and at no time in travel do the tie rods hit the shocks.

if you can afford long traval a arms for your bike (aprox $400), then you wont need a relocator. the 400EX shocks will bolt rite up and when you can afford better shocks you can just switch them out. im getting burguard +2 +1s and elka tripple rates w/res in october and it is going to be sweetttttt. i have heard people go round and round about how to get more traval out of these suspensions and in my opinion this is the best way. i know that some people swear by the relocators but i personally dont like the idea of bolting somthing on to my bike that is going to be supporting a huge weight load every time i land or brake hard. plus you say your a bigger guy so that puts more pressure on where you bolt them on. lots of people use them so im not bashing them i just think that its safer to use the shock mounts on the bike ment to hold that weight and the long traval a arms. you can get them, people told me i couldn't so i did some digging and found that they do exist. just my opinion, not trying to p#ss any body off.

well i figured it out!!! i had the relocator bracket set too high. i put the shocks on the heighest(sp?) setting and then it lowered lower than stock had then i could adjust the toe-in.:)

i wouldnt do this mod, it is not safe at all and the 400ex a-arms on a 300ex will give you bump steer, the only Correct way to widin your quad is to get a-arms and suspension is if you get it made for your quad,it costs more, but well worth it in the long run, if you dont beileve me, ask jeff

jeff has said on one of the forums in here that if you buy 300ex a-arms, like plus 2 or so, and 400EX shocks or 250R shocks valved for that setup, that its like a long travel setup for it. Its in one of these posts, but im not sure which one.
