Im gettn p*ssed at my 250ex. Heres the story, Ive had my 250ex for about 10 or 9 months now and Ive always changed the oil and cleaned the air filter. My riding buddies have two crappy 250ex's that every one rides, flipped and even crashed into a tree. One has been totally drowned out and it smokes my 250ex.
Every person around here has a 250ex and mine will get it out of the hole but after that there 5 quad lengths ahead of me. Is it the Rev limiter? Or is there something seriously wrong with my bike? Any info would be appreciated.

Did you take the time and break your motor in correctly?
They might have some inner motor mods they aren't telling you about.
What size tires are they running , you might also want to check your throttle cable tention to make sure your bike is opening up all the way at full throttle.

I did take time and break the motor in.
I bought it brand new from a dealer.
The rear tires are 22-10-9
and It is opening up all the way and when its in 5 th and your pinned wide open it sound like your revving it in neutral.

yea they might have stuff done to it taht u cant see like jet kits or bore kits. also if they have differnt tires like razors of whole shots. and when mines in 5th wide it dont sound like that and ive had mine just as long. i cant think of anything that might be wrong with yours

i have a 2002 250ex and mine runs freakin awesome: i have:
-t4 pipe
-102 jet
-KN air filter

get that crap and it will run like a champ

my friend has the same problem, we both have 2001 250ex, i got a white brothers e-series scilencers, jet kiits, razor tires on back, twin airfilter, and i smoke the piss out of him every time we race, even though he has the same **** done to his...
