Wheel spacers or +2 A-arms

I would like to add some +2 A-arms to my 02 400EX but the price make them out of reach for now. I have read several companies offer +1.5 wheel spacers for the front for less than $75. Has anybody tried these before? Can I expect improved handling like with the A-arms? Are they safe for amateur MX? Any input appreciated.

If any one has a used set of +2's for a 400EX, let me know.

check the parts section, for +2's they are SOOOO worth it, and ebay, i got mine here for 325 shipped, the ones in my info and LOVE them

I would not go with the spacers. They put presure on parts of the bike and they bend stuff. I would just save and go the a-arms route. I have +2s they are awesome. You will love the width.

Thanks for the input. I will save up for the arms. Can I run +2's and stock 450R shocks on my 400? What other mods are needed for the +2's? Extended tie rods, brake lines,...

with the a-arms should come the tie-rods, but if not you will need them. For +2 im not sure about lines i know for +3 you need them but i would be safe and get them anyway.

a-arms if u have the money when u have the wheel spacers your spacer and calaper stick out and can get hit by rocks

STOCK BRAKE LINES WILL WORK WITH +2'S:)

stock brake lines will definatly work with +2s i have that set up right now. the brakes are no different from when i didn't have a-arms

will the stock 450r shocks work with the +2's. are they stiff enough so that you wont bottom out. i was thinking about gettin a set of +2 a-arms but i didnt wanna spend money on aftermarket shocks.
