very very nice.. how happy is he?

The new 90cc legal engine preforms pretty good. I have to play with gearing now but she flies!

Pappy
06-14-2005, 05:37 PM
GT Thunder worked up a true 90cc engine, ported the head and intake and installed the cam. He sent along a larger carb but we have to use the stock one until he can whip us up a throttle cable.

I gusseted the frame, and bobbed the frame to accept a removable grab bar.

pappy,
why doesn't he like to wear goggles?

Pappy
06-14-2005, 05:43 PM
He wears goggles when he thinks he needs them. I dont pressure him unless he is riding with others, then they are mandatory.

He is legally blind in his left eye so maybe they affect his vision:confused:

pappy, will you adopt me? lol

that kid is really lucky to have parents like you. Nice job on it paps and i cody def has a future in quad racing if he keeps riding the way he does

I'd say High Point would be a nice place for him to break it in this weekend(hint hint):D

"He is legally blind in his left eye so maybe they affect his vision"

It seems as if that would make riding a little harder? By the looks of it, it doesnt hold him back much.

Pappy
06-14-2005, 07:23 PM
he usually wears glasses that bring his bad eye into 20/20 range, but when the glasses are off it stays blurry. (hardest thing i have tod o is make him wear his glasses:grr: )

One_Bad_400
06-14-2005, 07:36 PM
does legally blind mean he cant see at all? that would be hard to ride not seeing whats on the left side of you... but im sure he's used to it now..

06-14-2005, 07:58 PM
sweet pics. why is is one handguard twisted up like that on the right side?

wvspeedfreak
06-14-2005, 08:21 PM
I believe anything weaker than 20/40 is considered legally blind.

Pappy
06-14-2005, 09:00 PM
correct, he is listed as legally blind in that eye without his glasses. i geuss growing up with it he has learned to compensate. we force him to wear the eye glasses but he is still a hard headed typical kid:p

why is the handgaurd twisted? probably because his bars slipped down when he landed our big jump and someone went for a wild ride over the bars:D

Thats by far the best looking 90 I've seen. Hopefully your gussetts hold up to his abuse.

And also, for July's Quad of the Month I'm doing all minis. I have about 5 entered so far, including lilQJ, ask Cody if he wants in on it.

Pappy
06-14-2005, 09:13 PM
I dont think we will be entering any contests but we will be voting:p

Codys is doing well, and my other son is doing really well on his XR50. Next year they will both be racing:D

Pappy
06-14-2005, 09:16 PM
95 degree's and he still put in a good 45 minute practice after we spent almost an hour doing break in and an oil change. He is a machine:cool:

Pappy
06-14-2005, 09:20 PM
i do believe if you ask him who mows the grass he will answer he does:macho :chinese:

Pappy
06-14-2005, 09:22 PM
If i dont go broke keeping mini quads under him, maybe i can build him something really special for his 16th b-day(maybe he will actually want a car instead of a truck to haul his quads:huh )

i chased him down tonight on my utility and riding behind him in a field section i hit 43 mph. im pretty sure he was almost pinned and i was 2 feet off his grab bar:p

i dont know how that stacks up to a stock 90 or others but it should be good enough

actually the elkas work very well adding additional travel over the stockers. we sent them to santo derisi before the season and they work 10 times as good!

Is he going to move up to the blaster class? Is there even a blaster class in the gncc?

parkers30
06-17-2005, 09:19 AM
yes the GNCC's have a "Sport" class which is Blasters, 300ex's and warriors but like every other class you have to 16 to race the normal AM and PM races

NO not at the GNCC's, I believe at the GNC MX's they do have the class you are talking about and that is what Roostin Dale used to race

Please keep things clean here, you have no reason to post ANY of that here,Pappy is like most parents, we like to brag about our kids ,proud parents we are! Anything personal between other members is just that........personal. If I had some of the quads Pappys family has had , I would be a picture posting fool too!!! :blah: Cody got a great talent, nothing wrong with braggin about it.. :macho

Pappy is a popular guy on this site, for sure, but that doesn't necessarily mean all the attention Cody is getting is unwarrented. Cody is a good rider, jumper, and has a sharp wit. He's only knee-high to grass and already is a better rider than 80% of this site. That deserves recognition in my book.

wow...i havent visited this thread in awhile and come back to this:p

your free to rebel against me, and your correct, i will boot you faster then you can say..oopps:D if you want to express a personal feeling to me, use the pm feature. if you want to openly post negativity then you may get what you get.

as far as bragging. not really. i just hope to drum up more interest in the youth quads. thats what this section is about. other parents have the exact same oppertunity to post away just as i do and if they dont then thats on them. i look at almost every thread someone posts in this section and enjoy them all. family is where its at.

***i just realized i posted this in the open section:eek: ***

doesnt change anything just imagine it was in the mini quad section:devil:

You are right, it is a bad thing to encourage our kids and give them a pat on the back when they have done something good. We as parents should not invest so much time and money into our children. All that we can hope for is that they grow up to be just like you.:eek2:
