i just bought a '99 400ex and it runs fine, but the front shocks totally suck, they bottom out on the tiniest jump at my buddies track-that u only get about 3 foot of air. Sometimes even when i come down from a high speed wheelie they will bottom out, i cracked the bottom shock mount due to this. could it possibly be that all the gas leaked out of the shocks that its only the springs working? this is really pissing me off please help:ermm:

How much do you weigh? Check the preload setting on the springs and make sure theyre turned all the way up, as hard as they will go. Your probably going to want to invest in some aftermarket shocks anyways...they are 1000 times better than stock

O I just read your sig. and i noticed you have +2+1 arms. If your running stock shocks on those...thats your problem.

stock shocks get angry when you put on aftermarket a-arms.

Well, theyre 4-5 year old stock shocks. Theyve prolly been blown for years. Stock shocks blow anyways.

no no no...its not the quad in my sig. i just bought a 99 4-hundy from a buddy of mine, it was real cheap so i figured why not....all it has is a t-4 slip on on it....but for the shocks i have them on the stiffest setting and they still bottom out on absolutly nothing. im a bigger sized guy weighing in at 210 but the shocks should be alot better even with me on it....they will bottom out coming down from a nice ol' fast wheelie...idk what is wrong, anymore suggestions?
