Trouble mounting denton dampner on R....

I attempted to put my denton dampner on this weekend on my R. I have a denton alloy rebuildable.. The directions they sent were not much help.

Should the part that mounts to the stem be stright or on a angle. Should the dampner go strights back or on an angle?

i dont think it matters as long as the unit has full travel , i was checkin out my friends r and he mounted his so that it faces towards the front bumber on the right side. he can adjust his will riding. it seems to work fine, its been on for 2 years

It dosent really matter there was a post on here a week or two ago and people had them on everyway possible. And there were a lot of pictures.
