atv pulls?? haha, never heard of them, but it does sound fun. What kind of quad do you use and how much weight do you pull?

We have them here in NB as well. Not sure if I should be proud of that but they are rather amusing to watch.

Sadly the Polarises always seem to do the best..

i use a 300ex. yes and it's not a lie. after it's set up the quad alone ways about 950lbs and i'm pulling anywhere from 4000 to 7000lbs. the motor is not worked either just jeted and piped. i have a custom frame built for the rear of the bike. trust me it's all in the gearing:D . and as far as polaris's i beat 2 of them last year at the county fair! the only quad that beat me was a prarie with duelies and a boondocks nitrus system on it.

and no it's not really that bad on the clutch unless you pull alot time after time after time. it's geared so low it's about the equifilent (sp?) to taking off on a steep hill side. really not that bad at all. is there anyone else on this site thats ever heard of or pulled there quad before?

I had an old piece of junk yamarhammer Moto 4 I pulled once. Got 6th place with the thing. I seen one 300ex pull, It had a real big rear sprocket on it.

Sounds pretty sweet. I'd like to see a 300 pulling that much weight. I know it's possible. My 300ex had a hitch and I used to use it to pull my 1000+ pound trailer around to the driveway. Mine is stock except for a pipe/jetted and filter. I didn't have any trouble pulling it unless the yard was soft and muddy.

they do it up here in wisconsin all the time but its not as big as racing or anything. they do it alot at the regular tractor/truck pulls, but get a special puller for the littler machiens. some guys really build their stuff up here. my friend has a R1 motor in a blaster that he pulls.

In Wisconsin there are ATV pulls at alot of the fairs and ATV events. Its pretty cool to see the big utility and sport quads pulling alot more than they are supposed to... "baker250r" where do you live in Wi?

hey i've seem those "built up " pullers around here to. those machines are just insanly powerfull. but the atv pulls are just becoming popular here in southeastern ohio. last year there was a guy there that had a banshee that was i'm thinking bored to a 460 or something(can't recall) and was pushing over 100 horse. and had truck pulling tires on it. he won and that was the most massive pulling quad there. except for the guy with a gsxr600 crotch rocket motor in a 4-wheeler frame.

We have tractor pullin in N.B, im actually a puller!, not of atv's tho, tractors, performance tractors. You dont see very many quads pulling, really hard on a clutch unless your wheels are spinning and you dont shift!....heres a picture of me dads tractor...he calls it the Teachers Pet II because he is a Gym Teacher.
