Hey,

Yea..I have a question on some screws. First I want to ask, is a kit the way to go?
Second, if it is, which one, and whats the differece between these kits two are 220 and one is 465. WTH and one is double the price of the others?
Cant figure out why some are so much more expensive?
Which one would be best?
Any help would be appreciated
thanks

I got my Alloy Boltz kit off of Ebay for $129 shipped but they list the kit on their website for $179.

The 434+ bolt kits will include every bolt except for the swingarm, footpeg and intake bolts.

I paid $65 for a stainless steel swing arm bolt and nut (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4555162629&category=43974).

I just found the Alloy boltz kit (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4503935528&category=43972) and it is $199:eek2:.

If you are building a quad from scratch the 434+ bolt kits are the way to go.

Also beware if you buy stainless fasteners, don't buy 304 grade stainless, its only has a yield point of 40 000 psi vs over 100 000 psi for a typical graded bolt.

Just ask the seller from what materials the bolt are made. If it's 304, I wouldn't buy it (except if he can give you some mechanical specs for the bolts, then just post them here and I will tell you if it's good or not). If the bolts are made from 17-4 ph (precipitation hardening), they are strong enough.
