i want to make my 400 a nice tight trail/drag bike, so i am changing my gearing... stock its 14/38 and i just recently replaced the front with a 13t sprocket... what should i do with the rear? keep it at 38? what would happen if i went to a lower tooth or a higher tooth? any help would be great because im sorta searching in the dark right now... thanks

If you went to a lower tooth, you will have more top speed

If you went to a higher tooth, you will have more bottom

the rear works the opposite of the front. i would try the 13 tooth front sprocket before you go and order a rear one. your gearing is going to be really low as is. i hope you don't care for top end power either because you won't have much. if you still need lower, raise the sprocket teeth number in the rear a tooth or two.

what he said, trey the 13 front sprocket and then you will see if you want more bottom because you will be very low
