Tire slime

Hey,
I just got a flat tire on my R. "my 2nd day having it can you belive that!?" and i was thinking of useing fix a flat or slime, some kind of tire sealer. but i hear they rot some rims and even can rot tires over time. so has anyone had any problems with slime or fixa flat? and if so what kind of rims do you have and how do you tell what kind of rims you have?

The Slime works pretty good.My lawnmower has it in thre of its tires.I have never put it in my race quad,but the guys my dad trail rides with put it in their tires as soon as they got their quads,so far they havent had flat,used to get at least one everytime they went.They all have factory steel wheels.

I wonder if it affects handling? I always worry that it will make the tires weigh too much and affect handling. But I guess my fronts could afford to be a little heavier... heh.
