400ex/350x?

Is the topend on the 400ex and 350x the same? I no the 400 has more cc's but are they interchangble and how does the 400 get more ccd bore stoke? And are the bottom ends similar? the 350 is a 6 speed I was wondering if you could put a 350x bottom end on a 400ex with the 400 topend has anyone dont this and would it be worth it?

The 350x motor is closer to the 300exs than the 400exs.

I had a 350x for years and now have a 400ex, they look nothing alike. the 350x/250x/300ex family shared similar designs with changes made over the years. while the 400ex engine is based off the xr400 dirtbike. totally different.

is there a big differnce in speed and power between the 400 and 350? i thaught i read somewhere that they were pretty close to the same and the 300ex and the 250x are real close.
