i have a 300ex with lots of cosmetic upgrades that i really like the problem is it needs some speed. i want to be able to beat a stock 400 but i dont know what direction to head in. i know a popular upgrade is the 330 kit but how much speed will it actually add? Are there any motors that will bolt into a 300ex frame?

340 kit, port work, cam, etc.. go very deep into the motor. I think trinity racing has some nice kits for it.

Yea I sold my 300ex and am now building a 250r. I know it gets old people saying to get a different quad, but unless your under 16 and want to race, a new quad is your best bet.

u wont succeed...u cant make a 300 fast. if u r LUCKY u might get 60mph out of it and thats not enough to beat a stock 400. not even on the ice if u have snomobile studs and all the other guy has are sheet metal screws. just sell it and get a 400.

It'll cost a significant amount more money to do, but you can do it. Of course, if you're trying to get your 300EX to run with a new 450, you're wasting your time. If you want it to run with stock and midly modded 400EXs, it can be done. Like I said, it'll cost though.

Which brings us back to the question: why even do it in the first place? If you invested the same amount of money in the 400, it'd blow it's doors off. Cheapest way to make 300ex fast? Sell it. Get a 400 or 450.

i would rather have a fast 300ex then a run of the mill piped and filtered 400ex, even its the 400 is faster. i dont regret a bit to build my 300ex.
if you want to make your real fast and stand out from other 300ex's, call gthunder. they have a 350 cc big bore that flies. www.gthunder.com

if u wanna be fast, definately get some engine work, but also work hard to make yourself a better rider and that will help a ton.
