1.Look for paint that has come off in areas that aerent normal, a sign of wear or cracking.
2.Check out all the things that need to to be maintained i.e. oil, bearings, cables, stuff like that.
3.Ride it around and listen for any weird noises, or rough shifting.
4.Look for any damage that tells a story about the fourwheeler.
5.If it is for sale on here, do a search and see if the person has posted any crash stories, or other things that he needed help fixing.
6.If there are aftermarket parts on it, look to see the quality of parts to know if he cheaped out when building it or not.

That is what i have learned from my experience

lol josh,

look to make sure the handlebars are straight and that the grips are in good condition so u can tell if they rode it hard or what. ask them when they last changed the oil, make sure it doesnt make noises like in the subframe or something like that

I always check sprocket and chains to see if there in good shape that will help tell you how it has been ran to and wether they maintained it. And what everyone else said i just saw noone had posted sprockets and chains
