I didn't think it was too bad. I felt great thru the entire race and can't wait to go back and get the #1 plaque.

I blew out my steering stabilizer on the first lap which sucked since I'm used to riding with one. Now I feel the pain of the stock class.

What happened to you???

stabilizer shot, stem/stem bushings shot, & something else going on with the front end...I was fighting it in every turn.

I spoke to Brandon Ballance, who had been battling for fourth with Smiley all of the race. He said Smiley got in a bad wreck towards the end that allowed Brandon to take the fourth position for good. Still, awesome race for both riders.

Once Smiley and I got going after our not so good 1st lap start, we had our own battle that started around lap 3. He and I swapped from 4th to 5th for about two laps with Rice coming into have some fun of his own, passing me by taking a better line in the woods. I regained the 5th place position over Rice in an open field during the 3rd lap and caught Smiley while he was pitting for fuel. Had a great race going until he found himself going over the bars after hitting one of the drainage dips on a very fast section of the track. I was close enough behind that I could not stop in time. Luckily he fell to the left rolling and his quad to the right flipping over and over. I made sure to miss Smiley on the ground, but while his quad was on its way back down from flipping into the air, one of the tires struck me across my right shoulder nearly knocking me from my Yamaha. I hung on with one hand, pulling myself back onto the seat and stopped to check on him. He gave a thumbs up letting me know he was ok, so I caught my breath and took off. Finished 4th, about 1 min. 20 sec. behind Jenks.
Nikki, find a way to change your "user name"! Email Harlen...he can do it. Sorry guys. She can be a bit untamable @ times. :D See everyone @ Maryland. Thanks.

Great to hear from you Brandon, it was awesome watching you and Matt battle out there while I chased you too around the track, and I could tell that Matt was really hurting from his hard dismount when he headed back into the pits.

I know exactly where Matt wrecked because Stephanie Parton almost bit it in the same spot and I was only a few feet behind her and had to lock it up to avoid colliding with her which almost caused me to wreck as I nosed dived into the ditch.

I thought it was an awesome track, and I can't wait till the WISP
:macho because these tracks are technical, rocky, and fast which is right up my alley.

All this talk of Stabilizers??? What are they for anyway, but added weight:eek: lol

A step in the right direction, but the 416 kit, exhaust, and Elka Linkage would be against the rules, but it would be great to see how you would fair in the class.
