I was told that the best carb is the stock carb. I was told if you "mik" it it will be just as good as a edlebrock or FCR. I dont quite understand what "miking" the carb will do if it can even be done. what can i do to it other than jetting it to get my power out of it. any ideas..

:huh anywayz. lol all i can say is u can remove your choke, jet it to make more power. an edelbrock or other brands are probabaly alil better cuz they sure do cost more.

i heard this from a PRO racer that is using the stock carb. he says he wouldnt use anything better and its a cheaper rout. im going to have it done since im getting it done for free and if it dont make it any better then oh well your right im wrong...

that is definantly wrong, the FCR has a way better design and better components then the stock carb, there is no possible way the stock carb could perform up to those standards

it will probably help a little bit, but far from FCR

This PRO.. must have a mechanic.. lol ;)

Stock carbs vs. an aftermarket FCR/Edel
is a similar comparison to
Stock Suspension vs. Pro series Elkas.

They both do the same thing.. one just does it a lot better.

The shape of the throat.. shape of the slide... angle of the acellerator pump... and general quality all make a difference.
