1/8 - 1/4 throttle

I am adjusting my carb due to my new ported head :D

Have some questions...

I was running VERY lean, so went to a larger main jet. problem solved.


To improve air flow, we removed my choke. We then installed the 142 pilot jet (as the instructions on this site said)

We then adjusted the mixture screw to 2 1/2 turns out and rode at 1/4 throttle. It ran lean. So we moved the needle clip down one to richen it up. Now it stutters when transitioning from the pilot jet to the needle jet. Is there a way to fix this? Should I put the needle clip back to where it was and just run lean on the low end of the curve?

Go back to old setting of the needle. I hope that was a #42 pilot
if any thing go up one size on the pilot an see how that wocks.
