HELP QUICK!!! race soon!!!

Alright I have a race in 2 days and need help

have a 440ex which blew its head gasket so i installed oversized studs...put it all back together and started it and it doesnt stay running unless i give it gas and it back fires when i let off the gas while riding...I didnt touch anything with the carb when i put it back together and the timing is on because i just tore it down and double checked that....whats wrong with it???

hhmmm...... could be several different things. sparkplug screwed all the way in,cap on it good. is carb sitting level ( last time I put mine on I had it cocked at an angle and bike wouldn't run hardly at all ) is boot from carb to airbox on good ( not sucking air ). Or u didn't accidentally bump the idle screw. Thats just a few quickies I can think to check right off hand.

would a bad ground from the coil cause it? or maybe a bad coil?...i hit it with a hammer on accident when i tryed straightening the braket...:confused: :eek:

yeah I guess if your not getting good fire from the coil that could be the problem
