how much time on the new motor? have the silencers been repacked lately? possibly its spooge from the old engine. the old engine may not of had enuff strength to blow spooge out of pipe but now it does. i imagine that you are running 32:1 premix which causes alot of spooge if you don't keep it cleaned out. what color is the smoke? i believe blue is oil, white is water. greyish is normal. could have that all backwards but you would beable to smell the antifreeze burning. does it have all new gaskets? most often old gaskets should not be reused except for extreme circumstances.

i hate the carbs on banshees, do they make a single carb conversion kit. might be something to check into. Good luck.
