rejet .050 over 400ex???

hey guys, i just bought another '00 400ex, and this weekend im going to bore her .050 over and put a hotcams stage 1 cam in. this quad already has a full white bros e-series pipe and is jetted properly for this exhaust.....................now for my question, when i bore it 50 over and get the hotcams stage 1 cam will i need to rejet??? i will have a bigger burn chamber but im not changing intake or exhaust so idk?? all input im thankful for

you should jet if for the hotcam

from reading on here, ive read that the hotcam doesnt affect jetting... it probably wouldnt hurt to go up a size or 2 as need on your main though....

never heard of boring one .050 over ? , but cam and bore really don't affect jetting unless other mods are made

The cam actually makes it run cooler from what I understand because it lets a little more air out. Also when I did my piston/cam combo I jetted a little richer, but then it started blowing black smoke, so it was actually good with the jetting I had in it to begin with.

im getting it bored at my dealer and they said they can only bore .025 and .050 over...which they are probly just telling my so i have to buy a oversized honda piston and ring from them(so they get more $$) but i dont really know.....
