Ok, first off, I know that a 300 frame and suspension isn't the best. But, I have absolutely NO hope of getting a new quad, and I am getting a little bored of my 330, so I was thinking about putting a 250r motor in my frame. Its just an idea, who knows, it might turn out good. What do you guys think?

WORD TO THAT!!!! Man just be happy that you have a quad! I pull up to the track with my quad into the back of my dads 95 Chevy work truck w/ 200,000 miles on it while my opponents have like 24-40 ft enclosed trailers and all kinds of fancy stuff, yet i just look at them and smile, knowing that even on a low/tight budget I can be VERY competitive. If you have you mind set on having a faster quad part your current one out and find a job then buy ya a fixer uper 400ex or somethin!

I've thought about doing it also but no money and probably to much of a headache.i've got a pic of a atc250r engine in a 300ex/250x frame. I bet its a wheelie machine.

I think the 330 motor in the 250R chassis would be better:cool:

You guys are right, I don't even know what I was thinking. I just sometimes have these weird ideas pop into my head and I just post them for the hell of it. That is a nice 300/250r though. I do like what I have, I just play around with weird ideas a lot, lol, i'm just stupid like that. I am just going to make my 330 the sickest around, i just need a sprocket, carb, shocks, and paint or powdercoat everything on it. Now that I think about it, I would much rather have a 4 stroke.

BTW, does anybody know where I can get a 33 or 34 tooth rear sprocket for my quad??????? I really need one.

man u sound just like me... i always think about selling my 250x and getting a 400ex or something... but then i think, y not just make my 250x be able to beat a 400ex?? it would be alot cooler to see a 250x beat a 400ex then seeing a 400ex beat a 400ex :D
and right now im working on get some money to buy maybe a curtis sparks exhaust and maybe bore it out a bit, stuff like that...

Frosti, could you give me the info for rebel gears again, I lost their address. Do they have a website? How about sproclet specialties? could you guys give me some numbers to call or an internet address?

Oh yea, it is pretty cool to see a 300ex beating a 400ex  .

A 34T rear? Is there some reason you don't want to put a smaller front sprocket on?

If you are really looking for more power, a stock 250r motor isn't going to be a whole lot faster than a fully-built 330, so ANY motor is going to need modifications. And if it's mods your planning, I think a worked-over 350X conversion would probably be best. The 430cc stroker kit for the 350X is a ripper.
