ok ,i really plan on putting a 5.0 w/ 5 speed in my 88 3.8 t-bird.
What would i have to do other than the exhaust system , cutting the floor for the 5 speed .. what im tryin to say is what problems am i gonna run into with electronics

(btw - im not one of those people that have to have everything perfect)

I would find a totaled 5L tbird and swap all the wiring. The 87-88 tbird 5L is standard output motor. Try to find one out of a mustang. It would probly be better to use a pre 89 motor unless you want to go to a mass air setup over the speed density .

If your wanting to go to a 5spd your gonna have to get the parts from a turbo coupe.

Go with a turbo coupe rear end too 3.23 gears traction lock, and rear disks.

I'm far from an expert but this just what I remeber from when I had my 88 sport coupe. Check out this site.

start out with everything perfect so by the time you are done you standards are lowered to the "just get it done"
