well i whent for a ride today with 2 friends.

one has a stock ex and one has a 600r enduro bike, there is a Long road by a pt we ride at.

its usually used for dragging and stuff but they guy on the enudro clocked me at 71 mph in a wheely and 74 mph on all fours to the bar. i Definetly didnt think that my bike would go that fast but it is a good going 400ex.. tho i have a 440kit it pulls by stockers in 5th gear when they start out ahead??

o well i thought it was sweet..

I can do 3rd gear wheelies.... on my old 04 yamaha R1 thats about 130 mph. I will say it is easier to do fast whelies than to do really slow ones.

i got a 05 400ex with a lrd pipe and jet kit and i was ridding wheelies at 60mph down the road. i had my buddy running next to me in my truck. i call em wow's, wide open wheelies. got it on tape too:D 400s just balance so well at high speeds u can wheelie forever.

I wheelie mine in 5th and keep it forever !!!

in 5th you just have to pup the clutch and balance your weith
and yes its easyer to do fast wheelie than slow one

It just takes more control to do a slow wheelie. I can wheelie mine from first to fifth and never let the front wheels touch the ground.

We do it all the time. I'd say at, at least 75mph. It's easy.

07-13-2005, 04:11 PM
Well u have a 450r lol

07-19-2005, 03:32 AM
and your quad, or any quad, has the power to wheelie in 5th??? 71mph??? are you sure???

07-19-2005, 03:35 AM
o ya, i can also ride on the strret but i prefer to hit the dunes or desert. thats why i bought a dirtbike and not a street bike. good job, it's nice to know some people can rip on the street.

A top speed wheely would be 74mph not 71.

How about a video next time!!:D

BECAREFUL! like two monthes ago i was messin around when some dude fly's by on a r6, pops it up and takes off, so i follow beside pull it up in 5th rode for like 15-20 yards, went back to far lost controll, ate pavement for lik 12 yards crazy roadrash and hurt my pride a little.
