dont get me wrong i would like electric start if i buy 1 because over the weekend i seen a guy stall his going up a huge hill and every time he tried to kick it it would start sliding backwards back down, finally we all went up and help him walk it back down.electric start would have helped in this situation.

From what I have seen. After stalling on a hill, you're usually going to have to go back down anyway. Its really tough to get the rest of the way up the hill if you have lost momentum. If the hill is steep enough to make you slide back down when kicking, you're most likely not going to make it up from the stalling point.

lol....try stalling on a fairly steep hill on a blaster with no brakes whatsever....lets just say i went back about 10 feet in a deep rut and then it flipped and luckily i was in the way and stopped it:o i learned my lesson right there:p keep in pinned and dont let up:D

I can usually just cruise up behind them on the hill when they stall out to hold them there, I did it with my brother on his blaster for years

ah don't get me wrong I love the e-start on my ex, but I still love to kick start something.

and for the hill, can't you just hold the brakes, put it in neurtal and kick, it won't roll back.

and I know the place they put it is not all that good, but they did what they had to do

When you stall on the hill, you have to take your foot off the rear brake to kick it. If the hill is too steep, the front brake alone will not keep you there.

Well if you climb hills like we do and you dont make it your @ss is puckered up so much that you cant think about kicking it .

yeah seriously, whats up with stalling in a hill, is you stall is a big hill and you didn`t get to thetop, you have to turn around anyway to try again, that is if you didn`t roll down the hill already,
If you stall in a hill and you can restart and make the rest of the hill, you s*ck for stalling in the first place. in a hill you just give it full trottle it won`t stall

If they stalled it on a hill, I think they need to learn to ride better. It only would have stalled if he had it in too high a gear, and it bogged down, or if he was just going too slow.

I agree, and if it bogged down you just down shift

If your stalled on a hill you want to use your front brakes not the rear. Also If your stalled on a hill e-start will do you no good, just roll down backwards using proper brake control.

If your an experienced rider, you should know that it's common sense not to use your back brake on a hill. If the hill is steep enough to stall out, your gunna flip backwards due to the back brake.:huh

Sometimes you have to use your back brake on a hill just to keep you from sliding back down. As for the people saying that you're not a good rider if you stall on a hill....you're wrong. Sometimes things happen. What happes when your right tire grips more than your left? What happens when some dumbarse on a 450r got the holeshot and can't make it up the first hill? LOL. Anyway, my point is that it happens to everybody from time to time. If it doesn't, you're not pushing your abilities. :)

You sure do like posting those pictures don't you?

I'm sure that fire wasn't started by the eletric start either, it was probably from the decomp plug popping out and oil spilling on the exhaust which causes it to go up in flames.

yeah, if you are rolling backwards and hit the back brake, it will flip. But if you grab the back brake and the front brake right when you stall, it will not. And dont come back saying that the hills that you go up are so steep that your quad will start to flip by just holding the back brake. I have had almost all four tires on "the wall" at westpoint and and held it there.

Anyone have any pics of it with electric start I hear it really looks like crap and the battery is in a terrible spot??

i was also wantin to see da pics. looks like it'd be kinda hard to add something like that. especially with no real place for a battery.

and toad's post brings up a point. does anyone know for sure why the fire happened? cause the oil on the header sounds more probable than the battery imo.

i've been lucky to not have probs yet (knock on wood.....prolly jinxed myself anyways  ) and i even left my key on overnight and she fired right up :)
