why is this happening?

I recently rebuilt my motor, because i pushed the shifter rod through the bottom of the motor. I changed all of the bearings and seals , also i put new rings on the stock piston. Now the motor is blowing oil through the transmission breather hose. I was told that a damaged oil ring could cause this, so I changed the rings twice to make sure i put them in right. If anybody knows why this is happening please tell me!!

i would bet that when you installed your new seals, you got them slightly "cocked" to one side. In other words, they are not perpendicular to the shaft center line. Which in turn is causing a leak, which ends up going out your breather.
