Well, my parents happen to be at a car show right next to where this is Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6724&item=4554737627&rd=1)
and they are going to stop over and take a look at it for me. Anybody know this quad?

I guess the kid that used to own it was sponsered by herrmann and other companies. I just want to see if anything knows more than i do so i can tell me parents what to check out for when they go look at it. My dad is pretty good with this stuff though, since he has been buying old cars his entire life.

Yea, the shocks are only set up for about 15 lbs more than i weigh right now, which isnt bad at all compared to other ones i have looked at. How often would you say a motor like this would need rebuilt? Can anyone else help me?

u probly wouldnt have o rebuild it for a few years actually. my friend has a 440ex all worked. he doesnt have to rebuild his, but he does, just cuz he thinks he gains that lil bit of power. id say re ring it once every 2 years and u should be good. looks like a nice quad tho. good beginner racer quad

is it just me or does that look like a stock header?

why would you spend all that coin building a motor when the stock header is still holding it back? seems fishy to me

I was kind of wondering that too. And to get a new header for it, I would have to get a whole new pipe. We'll see what my dad tells me at about 6 tonight.

he probly had an aftermarket header for it and some one made a good deal on it so he sold it and put the stock header back on.... idk thats the only thing i could think of that made sense:blah:

actually the stock header is teh best to run for reliability...more than likely the ppl that did his motor drillled them out to let more air flow threw;)

Ok, its a stock head pipe. Nothing seems to be wrong with it, just a few chips in the a-arm powdercoat, one strap on the nerf bar needs fixed, and that looks to be it. I think the guy said he would end the auction if my parents offered him what he wanted. I think he wants 4500 tho. I know that seems to be a little too much, but i havnt been able to find a 400 like i want it. Every time i go to look at one, its either too much, or has things wrong with it that i couldnt afford to fix. Any ways to talk him down from that?
