For my 426, I plan on just running it like hell for a day. Then changing the oil and filter and ill be good :).

I think that you should a least let the rings seat correctly

In order to set the rings you must put a load on it. I always wait till its ready to ride before I first crank it. When you first crank it give it a little throttle to ensure it is oiling well and take it easy and warm it up well and then let it rip. I usually get out on the road so I can open it up and the ride it hard on the track.

i did this about three times then switched to sythetic and she runs great!!

dont go easy breaking it in because you need a load to seat the rings. make sure the jetting is good, let it warm up then ride it like you would ride normally. if you break it in easy the rings will not seat right and then when you do start getting on it it might smoke.i bought a brand new 2001 cbr929rr and broke it in easy and it smoked when i got on it.my buddy bought a gixxer 750 at the same time and he beat it pretty good and his bike ran real strong no smoke nothing.
