well I painted my spare set black but the back is chiping ( I know I painted plastic ) So I put the reds one back on. I don't know witch one look better. If you find the black is better, well aftermarket is to much$$ but know with the 06 ex in black I could get black rears for cheap.

So what do you think, red or black? thanks

you can sort of see the red where it chiped, If I keep the red ones there will be more stickers added

keep it black but if you dont want it to chip buy some krylon fusion paint for plastic but dont ride it before it is dry it takes a week but if you wait it will only chip if you really beat it up i painted my 300 black and it is awesome

ok well I guess black it is lol. as for the krylon it won't work, cause when I jump or wheelie I lean back and my boots a killing the paint.

So since the black one are all scratched, I'll keep the red for know and get the rear 06 honda fenders when they come out ( If I don't have a 450 already ) . when are the '06 comming out anyway?

as for the seat, I know you guys bugged me to get one well I finaly did but the black where all scratch so I just took off the seat and put the cover on then put it on the red ones. when I get it on the black fenders I'll post some pics, it should look really good ( I hope )

So know what do I do? run the red until I can get 06 rear's or try to fix the rears I have know until the 06 come out? the rears will be a pain to fix, cause all the stickers, and I can't take them off is rips out the paint.

So do I wait or try my best to fix them?

Have a look at this Website (http://www.4strokes.com/tech/plastic_restore/) It daels with restoring plastic. The first steps are about cleaning and preperation but at step 9 they tell what materials to use when painting plastic.

You might have a look at this place two. http://www.bryndana.com/tuner.html. I had a buddy who went to a junk yard to get an armrest for his car door one time but couldn't get an exact match (color wise) so he found some paint or spray on stain that he said was a perfect match. I don't know if this is the stuff but as I remmeber he was pumped up about it. I'm sure if you google it (www.google.com) you can bring in a few search results that would fit your needs. Look in automotive restoration places. A lot of older cars had plastic pieces that people want brought back to life or they have mixed matched pieces that they want to be alike.

Hey 44oEX that's cool. How did you manage to do that. Other than using a sharp knife. Did you have a template? How are the scoops supported, Fiberglass?

I just put some tape, then cut out the shape the take some spare plastic, cut the side shape in them, then put thenm in place and sodder them there.

here is one I did on a 300ex, you can get a better idea of how it's made
