wide open bog

When i have the throttle wide open in 4th or 5th gear the engine sounds like it is missing, i assume it is jetting. I know its not hitting the rev limiter for sure. I have a K&N with the lid top cut, Big Gun slip on silencer, and the Dyno Jet kit, and i believe i used a 170 main jet, which is what they recomended. I changed the spark plug and have about 5 hours on it, and the plug looks fine. If i have it wide open and it starts bogging, I slightley back off the throttle not even a quarter turn and the bog goes away. Any ideas?

i ahd the same condition on my 300, and it turned out that i was to rich on the main jet

I know its not to lean cause it doesnt overheat. Could it have anything to do with the needle adjustment, I did replace it. What are the symptoms if the needle is out of adj?

You are too rich on the main jet. Go down a size and see if it goes away.

Does it run better or worse when you take the air box lid off entirely?
