Aluminum weld case?

I yanked my bottom end out today, and found a inch and a half long crack in the left side case. have any of u guys every aluminum welded a case half?

I had a crack on the left side case at the back where my swingarm rubbed it thin. I got mine welded for about $25 so I know that it can be done, you just have to let them know exactly how you want it. But yea it can be done.

I broke a peice on the case on my old 250r and they welded it right back up

OK, good, and yep, this is where the swingarm rubbed. my friends dad will do it for me, so i will be there when he does it.... this is good news. i was freakin out tryin to figure out wut to do. seein as i blew my wad today on tires... only to find this

Yea and the last time I checked they werent throwing left center cases out for cheap.
