holy chit boys lets throw out the most expensive lifts made!!! haha the main thing you want to look at when buying a lift is the material its made out of, most lift kits come with the same parts, machined almost the same way, made out of the same metal but some are different now. check out the welds if possible also. so first thing you need to decide is do you REALLY need that 6 inches of ALL suspension, or do you want to be able to tuck those big tires to the suspensions full ability and not have to hack your fenders all to hell. if it were me, id get a 4 inch suspension lift, 2 inch body lift and the gap filler deals that go between your frame and body and still net 6 inches and in the process save enough money for those fancy wheels you want. then you need to figure out what youll be using your truck for. some kits come with springs and coils, some come with coils blocks and add a leafs, some have coil spacers, pretty much any combonation you can think of SOMEONE makes a lift with that in it. you need to decide if you want to keep the factory towing capacity of your rig or if its going to be mostly play and not much towing/working so you can deal with the softer spring rate of aftermarket springs and you can bust the extra bucks for the new leaf pack. some coil buckets are crappy though you keep the factory ride you risk breaking one while youre out in the middle of no damn where then what do you do? so watch for that too. then it comes down to choosing what name you want to pay for. you can get something like a rough counrty lift, still quality stuff now... but a WHOLE lot less than for a set of big red or blue springs hanging out from under your ride from skyjacker or fabtech.thats just a few things to keep in mind. like i said befor, its not the name that will get you back to camp at the end of the day, its the quality. and sorry for the long post....but i hope it helped some

lifts arent cheap my buddy has a 6 inch tough country lift on his 91 1500 chevy. and another buddy has a 2005 2500 duramax with a 6 inch sky jacker. they are alot of money considering the stuff you have to buy. including buying the lift, installing it takes alot of time and depends on if you do it yourself or have a shop do it. then you have tires to make that truck actually look lifted you need to put a nice set of tires and possibly rims. they are not cheap

F250 has leafs all the way around. Fabtech makes a coil over conversion kit, but who the hec needs that unless your taking your F250 desert racing !

Put air bags all around it, then raise it anywhere from 6 to 12 inches as you please.

05 are coil over fronts now,The best lift out there is donahoe racing.you get the best ride and they are made great.Go to www.thedieselstop.com and go to the forums and research it.They also have lots of pics of 05 on www.superdutyheadquarters.com I would stay away from body lifts if all possible,it's just a cleaner look.I built alot of superdutys, my 99 had 12.5inches and my 04 I put in 8inchs and love it.Let me know if you have anymore questions.

THE 05 F250 HAS A STRIAGHT AXLE FRONT END ON IT SIMILAR TO THE DODGE SET UP. COIL SPRING AND FORD USES A ONE PIECE RADIUS ARM ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FRONT. THE DODGE HAS A 4 LINK FRONT END. FABTECH DOES MAKE A KIT THAT CAN CONVERT THE FRONT OF THE FORD TO A 4 LINK FRONT END. SKYJACKER, SUPERLFT FABTECH AND FULL TRACTION MAKE KITS FOR THAT TRUCK RIGHT NOW .

IT'S NOT INDEPENDENT!!!!!!!!!!!! it's still a solid axle but more of a four link design with coil over shocks. any suspension lift for that truck is gonna be expensive. but it'll ride like a cadillac.
