I'm sort of new to this but how would be the best way to set up my 400ex stock rear shock for a 200-225 rider. I don't realy under stand all the diferent ajustments so any help would be vary helpful.

Thanks,

well for starters the adjustment on the top of the shock(flat blade screw slot) is your compression adjustment this determines how soft or how stiff your shock is based on the adjustments you have. the adjustment at the bottom of the shock is your rebound adjustment (screw type also) this determines how fast the shock will return and the tires get back to the ground. it would be nice to know what style of riding you are doing mx,xc,dez etc to determine ride height . thats what the adjustment do you will need to ride the bike to determine what it is doing and what you will need to adjust from there.
