IDK if this has been discussed before, but if it has i apologize. Anyways, what gas do you use to put in your bike? Regular, Plus, or Supreme? Kinda always wondered what other ppl used. Which is the best to use also. I have been running regular for as long as i can remember. Going for a little ride now, later guys.

93 octane and nothing but, except the occasional 110 mix bout once a year.

I use 93 octane with a few mothballs.....

I will be running 93 when the 250r is done. Race gas has no effect unless you are running higher compression. 12 to 1 compression and less is safe to run 93, and I've heard of people running 93 on engines with as much as 13.5 to 1, and not have any problems with it.

Unless you are running high compression you are just pissing your money away in the wind with race gas. :eek2:

actually, my R runs 200 psi. but i run straight 93 for practicing and stuff... then i will mix it 50/50 93 and turbo blue for races.

I dont realy use mothballs, altho ive heard its just like octane booster. pure ether

is it really pure ether? anyway ether isnt octane booster, its starting fluid. which will probaly make u run lean as hell

I use nothing but Sunoco ultra 94, its the cleanest burning pump fuel going. I run this in my 450R and ran it for years in my 250R and would get very little carbon build up in my engine. The more octane in fuel = less power.

93 and a little bit of 110 every now and then

06-09-2005, 08:06 PM
I ran regular, till It got the taste of 93. I couldnet resist the performance gain, costs me about 6.50 to fill the tank full from dead emty.

Is that true for all quad engines? Mine WILL NOT run on anything less than 110. Normal fuel is 112, when I have to run 110 there is a noticable power loss, but it perks right back up when I hit it with the 112. Not trying to be a smart a**, but it would not even run on VP Ultimate 4, and its only 94 Oct.

93 at the gas station. I ran it 75% with 93 and 25% VP 110 octane, Thats when it runs the best.
