I want a longer swingarm(+4)...I can weld and fabricate, so no problem there. Um ..ok that said, where would I find the specs/mesurements for my ride???

if ur talkin about building a swingarm that would be very difficult

umm i wouldnt want to ride on a home-made swingarm. I helped in the creation of a swingarm i built for my blaster (custom mx swingarm with 13" of real travel, 8 inches more then stock) and not only did it take like 5 weeks of research, design and many laps on the track to dial in and wasnt made right for what i was looking for. Save yourself time/money/effort and buy aftermarket

no its not that hard, but the material 400ex stock swingarms is made of is not the best to fabricate with. The only experience I've had with them is shortening for flattrack, and it did not hold up very long ( tends to crack around welds, and this was 3 different cut and weld jobs from 3 different people ). So I can't imagine it holding up any differently for lengthening it, especially if your gonna be doing any jumping. I would go for the aftermarket swinger, or if you have the tools/skills make an entire new swingarm.

No We are not trying to mod the stock swingarm, We are looking at building a new(head to toe...if You will!.) swingarm. And no jumping, just looking to get more stabillity...;)

Can't you just take measurements of a stock one to get all the critical measurements? I seriously doubt that any aftermarket company is going to post the measurements for you.
