Yeah i heard of them but never tryed them. My friend says they still add on the bill!

i get mine for free through my friend, he has some sort of plug in thing for his computer and he puts the MIDI files into my phone... i dont know where u can get the plug in or the program though, he is sworn to secrecy :confused:

A good magician never gives away his secrets. However, we aren't magicians, you can get the cable and files from ebay. Nextel also sells the data cables, not sure how much though. I got one free from a friend and also from Nextel to update my GPS. You can make the files in a program called Adobe Audition or any music program that you can convert to midi or wav format. Ebay is your best bet however, you can usually get a couple of cds with a cable for about $20. Hope this helps. If all else fails, you can always pay money to nextel for ringtones, but keep in mind you might wanna change em later or if you don't like it...there's $3 down the toilet.

From what I have heard from friends, they don't let you preview them on the phone.(I could be wrong) But most everyone I have talked to didn't like the tones.

i kno if you have the i860 and have the MP3 player they are the real song. it sounds good. but other than that it depends on the song. if you go to http://www.boostlive.com/prLabels.php you can preveiw a soundclip of what it will sound like for free. since its a nextel company its the same thing. you just can preveiw it, not buy. i got mine from my friend with that computer program though. it was free. like 30,000. i would say invest in that. i think its maybe 30 bucks, just a guess though.

ive saw those disks and cables for my nokia phone on ebay, how do they work, its really hard to find tones for my phone.

I have and i860 with about 40 real ringtones on it. All put on there by me :D

if its like the nextel i think it just hooks up to the USB port. then you plug it into your phone just like you would if you were charging it. that is if you can find ringtones for it.
