im not gonna lie, its an awesome bike. but IMHO i don't think you will get much more then 3300 for it. being that its a two smoke and the value for all other quads are goin down due to the new 4 smokes. yeah it sucks. damn retail value!

Around me, you are lucky to find an R for $3,500. For some reason, every near me wants a 250r.

Oh well, should be good for me when I go to sell it. I don't think I ever will, though.

Well its too bad that this 2 stroke will smoke any 4 stroke. I need to put up some new pics because this bike is a very nice. And All of the parts are fairly new. Good luck trying to find a bike like mine for any less than 4,000

You'll never get the 5500 out of it.The dealer my bother works at has a nacs 250r and they can't get 4500 out of it.The two strokes are in the dumps right now

Just my opinion, but when it comes to 250R's they are the greatest quads, nothing beats the power response of a 2-stroke. But since they stopped making them so long ago most people have never ridden a 2-stoke quad, so they don't know what it feels like.

I love the 250R and I would tell you don't sell it, but if you have to you should look to only get about $3500 - $4000 realistically.

The fact remains that it is still 17 years old.

A stock 450 R or YFZ will beat a stock 250R hands down so it takes lots of modifications to keep up - you end up having to put 15k into it to beat a slightly used 450R or YFZ that you could pick up for 4k or a bit more. And when you break, parts are scarce and incredibly expensive. This doesn't even take into consideration the gas consumption is much higer on a 2stroke.

Keep in mind this has to do with racing - a play rider should be fine with a 250R
But with playriders noise can be a factor.

So with that long breath why do you want to sell - and please don't tell me so you can get a 450!
